I first saw Bruce in my back garden in autumn 2016 after moving in a couple of months earlier. Soon I saw him several times a week and I started to feed him. He was always acting as if he was starving and desperate for food. I also noticed that he would sleep in the garden shed, and I concluded that he must be a stray. In spring 2017 I noticed a few wounds so I took him to a vet (Goddard Veterinary Group Kennington). The vet also took a look at his eyes which look like they are constantly infected. She gave me antibiotics to give to him and neutered him, but said his eyes were okay. Following the visit, I kept him indoors for two days as required. He is not litter box trained which made this quite difficult. He has lived his entire life outdoors although he likes to come inside and lie on the couch. However, I have not been able to have him inside very much due to the restrictions of my tenancy agreement and my flatmates’ disapproval.

Bruce can get scared at first and he sometimes hisses when strangers come too close or move too fast around him but he has never scratched or bitten me or anyone else as far as I’m aware. Once he gets used to someone, he is very affectionate and likes to cuddle and sit in their lap.

I am moving home which is why I won’t be able to look after him anymore. He is a really lovely cat and deserves to come to a loving home.
