Please browse our collection of cats waiting to find a new loving home...
All the cats in our foster care have been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, deflead, wormed & microchipped. Our adoption fee is £75 for an adult cat and £85 for a kitten. We have a wide range of cats looking for homes, including a number who are not yet on our website, and some who are indoor cats.
Magnum is an 8 year old male short haired black and white moggy. He is a healthy large framed cat around 5-6kg but not obese. He has a lovely round face with bright eyes and big paws. He has been well loved and looked after. He sees a vet regularly, he has all his vaccinations and worming is up to date. He is microchipped and neutered. He does stress from time to time and has had a couple of flare ups of cystitis and is currently on vet recommended CD Hills Science Plan reduced calorie cat food which he loves. He has had digestive issues with the cheaper supermarket foods such as go cat, felix, whiskers and often won't eat them. He can be pretty greedy and is prone to putting on weight hence the reduced calorie version of Science Plan. We measure out his food according to the vets recommendations and he gets no more than that twice a day, morning and evening.
He is cautious of almost everything but also very inquisitive and can be silly. He's been in a single cat household all his life with access to a garden and all the other terraced gardens in the neighbourhood. He goes out at night and stays in during the day so no longer uses a litter box. He is very vocal when he's hungry. He chirps when he sees spiders or flies and he spends ages kneeding any deep shag pile rugs. He likes sleeping mostly on fresh laundry, plastic sheeting, cardboard sheets or in boxes and with his humans. He will come and try and curl up beside you if you fall asleep with him in the room. He's not a lap cat, unless he's not feeling very well or he wants a particular amount of stroking at any time. But he does like to be in the same room as his humans, his best spots are back of an arm chair or on a window ledge so he can people watch or under a table or in a corner for sleeping. He's been through several cat beds and discards them all after the novelty has worn off which is about a week. He's never sprayed or scratched furniture since we've had him. He does love to play hunting or chasing games where he will try to pounce you then run and hide and try again. He has a habit of patting your hand with his paw when he wants your attention. He hasn't lived in a house with young children but doesn't mind being around them but he's not a cat to be fussed over. He also refuses/doesn't wear a collar and hasn't had one for most of his life.
He is not a dominant cat and is very timid and anxious around other cats.
He is a big lovable coward who would do well with someone who can give him a bit more attention than he is getting now and a low stress environment. He also doesn't travel well unfortunately so it's best to make sure his bowl and bladder are empty before any car rides.
