Athena

0.00

Athena is a special kitty, who came to UK in June. She's a native Egypian Mau, and she was born in January 2018. She was originally under a TNR (trap-neuter-return) program of Project Bastet Rescue that looks after community cats, but when a volunteer who fed them daily saw one of her sisters dead, she took the other two kittens to a small home based rescue. With no chance of finding a home in Egypt, the sisters were prepared for an international adoption.

Athena has her own passport, she's microchipped, vaccinated, FIV and FeLV negative. She is, of course, neutered..

She's 18 months old, she's extremely affectionate, and she loves people. She has an exotic face, huge ears and massive green eyes, and her hair is very short.

Athena needs to be an only cat as she's very jealous of the affection. She will shower her hooman with cuddles and kisses, and she'll make sure that no other cat steals the hooman away. Of course, everything is new to her, and this is the first time in her life she's got someone who cuddles her to sleep. She is clinging to her fosterer for dear life, and she follows her everywhere. She is clean and well behaved, she listens and she's a clever girl. Being very young, she is happiest when she's chasing toys.

We are looking for an only cat home for Athena, with no small children. Athena is to remain an indoor cat (a catio would be perfect).

Athena's adoption fee is £120, and this is a small contribution towards over £500 cost of her flight and preparing the documents. The fee will go back directly to Project Bastet Rescue in Cairo to help other homeless cats.
