Gilly

0.00

Gilly (after Adam Gilchrist, the Australian cricketer!) is 12 years old. She was rescued from a building site as a kitten and her current owners adopted her at 8 weeks old from Battersea. They are moving out of the UK and can’t take her with the

She is very sweet and affectionate, and has always been very independent, fitting in with the family and doing her own thing. She comes to say hello with a squeak and enjoys sitting on your newspaper when you’re trying to read, or sitting on the windowsill watching the street.

She gets along well with other cats. She’s definitely not an alpha cat, and as long as the other cats are gentle she is fine with sharing her space. She has always been an outdoor cat so would need to be able to carry on exploring outside. She’s pretty streetwise and has always been fine out and about in the neighbourhood. She’s a resilient little thing.

Given that she was a rescue kitten she’s quite shy, so if there are lots of people or kids she will make herself scarce, coming inside when it’s quieter. She basically likes it when you’re sitting down so she can come to you.

She’d be really happy in a house with one or two adults, and older children. She’d make a great companion for an older person, she’s incredibly low maintenance and likes a quiet life!

She hasn’t had any health problems, is de-flea-d,  fully vaccinated, microchipped and the current owners have pet insurance that we’d be happy to keep paying for the first year.
