All the adult cats in our foster care will have been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, deflead, wormed & microchipped by the time they are rehomed. Kittens of 9 weeks are rehomed with a 1st vaccination and will have had a full vaccination course if rehomed at 13 weeks. For cats under 6 months we need you to agree to get them neutered and microchipped by 6 months of age.
Our adoption fees are £125 for a single kitten under 6 months, £200 for a pair of kittens under 6 months, £120 for an adult cat and £90 for cats of 10 years and over. We rehome cats as indoor only if they have a disability, are FIV or FeLV positive or are at least 10 years old and show no more interest in going outside.
When applying to adopt a cat, please put the name of the cat in the subject line of your email. If your enquiry is more general and you are looking for a type of cat, for instance an older cat, an indoor only cat, a cat with a disability or special needs, or a pair of cats or kittens, please put this in the subject line.
Lorne
Lorne
Lorne is being rehomed by our rescue partners, they say:
Meet sweet little Lorne, If ever a name was more suited to a cat then this is it! The meaning of his name, unbeknown at the time, varies from forsaken, abandoned, deserted, which he was and also means fox, which totally befits his beautiful 'brush' like tail.
Lorne is estimated to be about 3 years old having been found at 7 months old, abandoned and living under bushes. His beautiful silky fur was matted and grubby from hiding under cars. He sought refuge near to a cat owning household where the kind resident offered him food. He was starving!
This is how he came to be saved from a life on the streets. He is semi long haired but has the most magnificent bushy tail. He does not require grooming but occasional brushing once he ventures out will keep him looking sleek and silky.
When Lorne was found he was unneutered and not microchipped but thankfully in good health. He has now been castrated, fully vaccinated and microchipped, ready for his new, forever home.
Lorne is currently living with other foster cats and is perfectly happy. He would make a super companion cat but also enjoys human company showing affection and trust.
As a predominantly white cat he should be discouraged from basking in the hot or midday sun, even keeping him indoors during such times as white cats or those with white ears and faces are susceptible to skin cancer. Veterinary, cat safe sunblock can help protect them from the harmful rays. Lorne is a truly adorable also loves to be stroked.
