All the adult cats in our foster care will have been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, deflead, wormed & microchipped by the time they are rehomed. Kittens of 9 weeks are rehomed with a 1st vaccination and will have had a full vaccination course if rehomed at 13 weeks. For cats under 6 months we need you to agree to get them neutered and microchipped by 6 months of age.
Our adoption fees are £125 for a single kitten under 6 months, £200 for a pair of kittens under 6 months, £120 for an adult cat and £90 for cats of 10 years and over. We rehome cats as indoor only if they have a disability, are FIV or FeLV positive or are at least 10 years old and show no more interest in going outside.
When applying to adopt a cat, please put the name of the cat in the subject line of your email. If your enquiry is more general and you are looking for a type of cat, for instance an older cat, an indoor only cat, a cat with a disability or special needs, or a pair of cats or kittens, please put this in the subject line.
Philippe
Philippe
"I’ve had Philippe since he was 8 weeks old. He is now 4 and a half.
He has been described as a “very well behaved” cat any time we take him out to the vet or others see him. He is very timid and shy cat and has been this way since the beginning. When I first got him I could see him visibly shaking out of fear of the unknown.
When he is rehomed it will take a while for him to get used to not being with his favourite person.
I really love this cat and I want him to go to owners who are going to look after him for the long term. Owners who have time to shower him with affection and preferably don’t have other pets. He is used to being an only pet.
We have really looked after him well and trained him well. He does not sit up on certain sofas in the house, (has has an allocated chair) he does not claw at furniture and he does not climb on kitchen counter tops or tables. He will be cheeky at times and try it when someone is not looking when he is knows this is not okay by our standard. He sleeps on his own, either in his bed or in his car tree which has a little tent like bed. He gets bored of his beds easily so we often keep his bed away and when it comes back out it’s like brand new to him.
Once Philippe warms up to you he is a very affectionate cat who just wants to be loved and petted. His dream would be to sleep in the same room as the owner he loves and to be a lap cat all day. I am not that owner as I don’t sleep with my pets. I lap him and pet him at times and he loves this.
He is very picky with his cat food and loves Felix adults (not the original version). I have tried to put him on higher quality cat food but it’s been a no go for him. He does love Royal Cain gastro food though but this can be £18 per pack. So it’s when we feel he has an upset stomach.
He is not an outside cat and I would not recommend he becomes one. Even if he asks for it. The times he has gone out, he came back very sick (despite vaccinations) or he came super hyperactive, almost like a child who is high on candy. And this would last for up to 1 week.
I am sadly considering this rehousing as we are moving house soon. We are going from living in a 2 story house to renting and it’s looking like the next place we go will not allow for pets."
