All the adult cats in our foster care will have been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, deflead, wormed & microchipped by the time they are rehomed. Kittens of 9 weeks are rehomed with a 1st vaccination and will have had a full vaccination course if rehomed at 13 weeks. For cats under 6 months we need you to agree to get them neutered and microchipped by 6 months of age.
Our adoption fees are £125 for a single kitten under 6 months, £200 for a pair of kittens under 6 months, £120 for an adult cat and £90 for cats of 10 years and over. We rehome cats as indoor only if they have a disability, are FIV or FeLV positive or are at least 10 years old and show no more interest in going outside.
When applying to adopt a cat, please put the name of the cat in the subject line of your email. If your enquiry is more general and you are looking for a type of cat, for instance an older cat, an indoor only cat, a cat with a disability or special needs, or a pair of cats or kittens, please put this in the subject line.
Susan
Susan
October was Breast Cancer Awareness month. This is Susan our own breast cancer ambassador. She was found straying with a wound on her abdomen. The vet removed a cancerous mass on her mammary gland and a lymph node. She was spayed at the same time and her uterus was found to be full of fluid, so not a moment too soon. She spent about a month at the vet as her wound wasn't closing up properly. She is now relaxing in a home environment and getting more confident by the day. Susan says: 'When in doubt check it out. Meow!'
Susan is getting more active the more she exercises and her legs are back to strength, although they still look skinny because of her overgrooming. Susan is like a puppy sometimes following me everywhere and running ahead into her room hoping for more play sessions.
She loves her food and likes me to throw the kibble around the room so she can chase it.
Susan doesn't like to be touched when she is walking around, but when she settles on the lap she doesn't mind.
She likes sleeping on my chest at night and I tuck her in under her own little blanket.
My own cat has not been very friendly to her and Susan is very respectful of her space and does not touch her food. When I sleep in my own room (with the other cat) she sleeps outside the room rather than in hers, so I have had to put a pet bed outside the door.
